Laharl is the son of Krichevskoy, King of the Netherworld, and a witch-in-training
from the Human World. He hates words like love and kindness because they
were things his mother preached to him before sacrificing herself to save his life.
After his fatherfs death he fights to take over the throne. Though he trains
everyday to surpass his predecessor, hefs very selfish and self-centered.

Etna loyally served under King Krichevskoy, and now serves under his son Laharl,
guiding him to become as great as the late king. But she's a tad ambitious, and
isn't as loyal to Laharl as she was to Krichevskoy. If she has the chance, Etna won't
hesitate to take the throne for herself. She keeps a diary and writes in it everyday
since her memory was stolen some time ago.

Flonne is an angel trainee who respects Seraph Lamington, and came to the
Netherworld on a mission he assigned to her. She is a love zealot who believes
that "even demons can understand love." She joins Laharl's group in order to
teach him about love. She loves superheroes, and swears by the rule that people
should "not attack when the hero is transforming."

Laharl and his followers call Count Vyers "Mid-Boss," but Vyers prefers
"Dark Adonis." Though he loves making flashy entrances, Laharl and
company never have too much trouble defeating him in their many encounters.
What is his connection to Demon Lord Krichevskoy, Laharl's father? How
does he know Seraph Lamington?

Lamington is the Seraph, the highest position in Celestia. He
is gentle and serene. A long-time friend of King Krichevskoy,
Lamington teams up with him to unite Celestia and the Netherworld.

Vulcanus is the head of the angels and the second in command of all
Celestia, but he wants to be top dog. He strives to become the
one true god and bring peace to the world. He'll do whatever
it takes to win, even plotting to kill Seraph Lamington or
making a deal with a demon. He hates all demons, and there
are quite a few in Celestia that agree with him.

Prinnies are Etna's servants, but for some reason
Laharl pushes them around too. Most of them look alike,
and they usually add a "dood" to their sentences. Prinnies
are actually sinful humans who atone for their
transgressions by working in Celestia and the Netherworld.
After atoning for their sins they are reincarnated.
